The typical Winston-Salem-area home was worth $282,264 in August, down 0.4% from a year ago.

FHFA’s repeat-sales index for the Winston-Salem metro is up 4.3% over the year through Q2 2025. 703 homes sold across Forsyth, Davidson and Stokes counties in August, about level with a year earlier; 2,182 were for sale at the end of the month.
